Privacy Policy

DevToolsExport is a free Chrome extension that creates shareable DevTools snapshots when a user clicks Share Bug Report. Snapshots can include console logs, network requests, browser and environment details, installed extension metadata, storage context, and optional screenshots.

What is collected

The extension only collects debugging information for the active tab when the user starts a share. This may include URLs, request methods and status codes, timing data, console messages, page metadata, extension metadata, storage context, and an optional screenshot of the current tab.

How the data is used

The data is used to create unlisted share links that help developers reproduce and fix bugs faster. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to build user profiles.

Storage and sharing

Share links are uploaded over HTTPS to devtoolsexport.com and stored temporarily. Anyone with a share link can view that snapshot until it expires, so users should only share links with people they trust.

Redaction

DevToolsExport applies default redaction for sensitive values such as secrets, cookies, request bodies, response bodies, DOM snapshots, and sensitive query parameters. Screenshots may still show visible page content, so users should review pages before sharing screenshots.
